Kia Ora Koutou,

Every week our teacher “Whaea Gaylene” she has picked books from Takawiniwini for room 8 and  this is for “Panui”. And each time I read the books that our teacher chosses for all of us I learn a new kupu  in Te Reo Maori every time. even though it might sound the same, it can mean  something else. So reading a book in Te Reo  Maori,  it has tought me new words and I can read it over and over again and  it helps me of  how you can use those new kupu and put it in sentences.

I have picked five countries and made graph’s about those countries I picked, for there Golds,Silvers, and Bronze and the five countries I picked is France,South Korea,Canada,Italy and New zealand and the one countrie that im really interstead was France they got more Silver and Bronze from year 2020,  they also got a little bit of Gold medals so they really improved from 2020 that ia why I was intersted in France.

This week room 8 we have been told to read a book and there are three groups, and I am in group Kakapo we had to read the book that our Teacher Whaea Gaylene has picked for us first and if there were any kupu’s that we didn’t know then we would have to go on Te aka and try to understand that Kupu that we didn’t know and I have learnt By reading my book, when I was reading the book there was a Kupu that I knew but it meant something else, the Kupu was “Pātū” this word meant “Wall” but I thouht it meant “hit”

Every monday Morning our Tumuaki gives us Tamariki a message. This weeks Message was “you are not too old to learn New things”. And we had to Reflect on our Tumuakis message. We had to make a little Graph about what we did on the weekends and talk about the things we can do. And below here is what I have learnt over my weeks at home or anywhere else.

Kia ora koutou katoa.

I have made a graph about Attending school and it shows here my best and worst months, my best months were May and July also my worst months were June and August. If you are a year 8 and you have not been coming to school and your attendance is below 80% the you will not graguate this year. Also there is a reward at the end of this term, if your attendance is over 80% then you will attend to that haerenga that the  principal has planed for all of us. Also coming to school will help you in your learning and it will help you to keep up with everyone else in your class. So that´s why you should always come to school.
